Hi, I’m Lourie, and I serve as the Students Ministry Director here at One City Church. It’s been a blessing to be part of this community since 2024, and my role is to serve and equip our youth, providing spiritual guidance, biblical teaching, and a welcoming environment to our 6th through 12th graders.

Our youth are facing a culture that is counter to Christianity every day, and our goal is to disciple and develop leaders for Christ who will boldly impact the world around them in Jesus’ name.

On a personal note, I am from central Texas, but I also have roots in South Korea. I am married to my awesome husband, Tarik, of 20 years, and we have three beautiful children together, Caleb, Amaria, and Titus. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force, served as Youth Pastor for many years, and enjoy serving God and His church!

What I love about One City Church is the relevant messages, the beautiful worship, and the sense of community each time we gather.

When I’m not at church, you’ll find me homeschooling my children, enjoying outdoor fun, spending time with family and friends, and worshiping at the piano.

A Bible verse that inspires me in both my personal and professional life is Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” I use this verse to remind me that Christ must be who I pursue, and the rest will follow. He is my everything, and I can trust Him with my whole life.

My hope is to see your teen grow in their relationship with Jesus through sound biblical teaching and messages that speak to the real challenges they face. I’m grateful to serve alongside a team of trusted, background-checked leaders who genuinely care about students. Together, we create meaningful opportunities through events, relationships, and small groups for your teen to feel supported and encouraged in their faith journey.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I’d love to partner with families to help our students live out the two greatest commandments: Love God and Love people!
