Tananda Parson
Hi, I’m Tananda Parson, and I serve as the Worship Director here at One City Church. I’ve been part of this amazing community for since 2019 years, and my role involves overseeing the worship experiences that you all see and hear each week .
On a personal note, I love to watch Hallmark Christmas movies all year ‘round, and spend time laughing with family and friends.
One of my favorite parts of being at One City Church is the freedom to be myself. I am a lover of Jesus Christ, I also make mistakes like everyone else, and I am loved anyway. The people at One City Church have become family and a safe place to call home.
When I’m not leading worship you might find me at a community event selling baked goods or signing books I’ve written. God made me creative so there’s always something to do.
A Bible verse that inspires me in both my personal and professional life is Psalm 46:10 that says “Be still and know that I am God”. I love that verse because it keeps me grounded when life gets chaotic or overwhelming, or when those things I really want to see happen seem to not be going my way. In either situation, I have to remember that God is a mighty fortress and he’s also a gentle lamb. He’s able to protect, comfort, lead, and guide me in his own timing. I just have to let God be God.
Looking ahead, I’m excited about the families and communities that will discover what God is doing at and through One City Church. On a personal note, I can’t wait to experience more transformations in my own life as well.
